INA-RESPOND, established in 2010 through a clinical research collaboration between Indonesia’s Ministry of Health and the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has conducted numerous infectious disease studies across varying levels of complexity. These efforts have produced a valuable repository of data, specimens, and scientific outputs that serve as important resources for the wider research community.

Researchers are welcome to access and use our stored data and specimens to support secondary analyses, new scientific inquiries, and other initiatives that advance medical knowledge and public health.

Follow the access workflow outlined below:

  1. Develop Your Concept Plan
Describe your research idea in the Concept Plan form (download form) and complete all required sections.
  2. Submit the Completed Form
Send the finalized Concept Plan via email to inapublikasi@ina-respond.net for initial processing.
  3. Concept Plan Review
The Approval Committee will review your submission and provide the outcome of their assessment.
  4. Proposal Requirement for Specimen Use
If your Concept Plan includes the use of stored specimens, a research proposal must be developed and submitted to the Ethical Committee for approval before proceeding.
  5. Agreement Preparation
Once the Concept Plan (and the research proposal, if applicable) is approved, INA-RESPOND will begin preparing the Data and/or Specimen Sharing Agreement.
  6. Access to Data and/or Specimens
Access to data and/or specimens will be granted only after all required documents have been completed, reviewed, approved, and formally executed.
