INA-RESPOND is a Government to Government collaboration between Indonesia and the United States, represented by the Directorate General of Advanced Health (Keslan), Ministry of Health, and the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Implementers

  • INA-RESPOND Secretariat and Research Laboratory
    Central coordinating and operational body responsible for the planning, implementation, oversight, reporting of all research activities under INA-RESPOND and and provides comprehensivelaboratory support.
  • RSPI Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso (Host Institution)
    Provides institutional anchoring, strategic oversight, and integration within the Ministry of Health framework.
  • RS Pusat Otak Nasional (RS PON)
    The institutional location of the INA-RESPOND Secretariat, providing office space and supporting facilities to enable its administrative and operational functions within the Ministry of Health hospital system
  • Clinical Research Units (CRUs)
    Serve as implementing research sites across Ministry of Health hospitals.

National and international institutions, research networks, and organizations that engage with INA-RESPOND in joint research activities, capacity strengthening, data and knowledge sharing, and health system improvement initiatives.

Governance

  • Governing Board
    Serves as the highest strategic oversight body, providing overall direction and ensuring alignment with national and bilateral priorities.
    It is composed of senior representatives from the Directorate General of Advanced Health (Keslan), Ministry of Health, and the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
  • Executive Steering Committee (ESC)
    Provides executive level coordination and oversight of program and study implementation, ensuring operational readiness, monitoring progress, and facilitating coordination across the network.
    It is composed of designated representatives from the Directorate General of Advanced Health (Keslan), Ministry of Health, and the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
  • Scientific Steering Committee (SSC)
    Provides scientific oversight, reviewing and prioritizing research proposals while ensuring quality, feasibility, and alignment with INA-RESPOND’s research priorities and standards.
