Position Overview: As a Research Scientist at INA-RESPOND, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of infectious disease research. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to groundbreaking studies, and have opportunities to present your work on both national and international platforms.

Position: Research Scientist

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Research Scientist will report directly to the Scientific Coordinator of INA-RESPOND and is expected to:

  • Assist all existing research activities in INA –RESPOND in the innovative and forward-looking trend in tropical medical research activities.
  • Contribute to the publication of research findings through providing insights and suggestions to the manuscript drafts, submission process, and actively involved in the peer-review process and in addressing its findings and comments.
  • On direction from the Scientific Coordinator, the candidate will:
    • Timely report research materials on specific areas.
    • Provide support and mentor other staff on research projects and techniques.
    • Analyze and interpret research data and communicate results and methods in reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
    • Develop new techniques, products, or practices in infectious disease research.
    • Deliver presentations detailing research findings.
    • Create or assist in the development of new research protocols.
  • Prepare content and materials for the INA-RESPOND newsletter.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • MD degree from an accredited university. An additional MS/PhD degree is strongly preferred.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in medical research.
  • Proven experience in writing and publishing scientific manuscripts.
  • A strong background in infectious diseases, with particular emphasis on HIV and Tuberculosis, will be seen as an advantage.
  • Proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and a high degree of motivation.
